Republika Srpska Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic said that tomorrow’s visit to Sarajevo by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic is quite a normal activity in the spirit of developing good relations and cooperation, from which absolutely everyone should benefit. She said that this visit in no way impacts on the good relations between Belgrade and Banjaluka, and added that this will not be the first visit, since high-ranking Serbian officials have visited both Sarajevo and Banjaluka before.
“It is of extreme importance for such visits to be realised. They are in the spirit of good regional cooperation and good relations between people who used to live together in the same system. This means that they shared political, economic and all other hardships, but also the good things of such a life that existed, which means that there exists understanding among us,” Cvijanovic said.
Cvijanovic today attended the opening of the International Technical Achievements Fair in Belgrade, where she toured the stands of exhibitors from Republika Srpska.
She said that certain things were damaged by the war and everything that happened afterwards, which left consequences.
The Prime Minister said that she sees Vucic’s visit as a really positive step forward.
“I think that these are things that must occur in the region. Banjaluka of course benefits much from everything Serbia is doing. We are always gladdened by everything good that is happening in Serbia and by everything Serbia is undertaking internationally,” Cvijanovic said.
Radmanovic: Vucic’s visit – a new step forward
The Republika Srpska member of the BiH Presidency, Nebojsa Radmanovic, feels that tomorrow’s visit to Sarajevo by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic is a new step forward in the relations of the two countries.
“We expect better relations when it comes to commerce and scientific, cultural, educational and other forms of cooperation,” Radmanovic told reporters in Banjaluka today.
He added that he always expects much from visits by neighbouring countries’ officials to BiH, stressing that he is one of those who think there is no development and good cooperation without good relations of neighbouring countries.
Radmanovic said that economic relations between BiH and Serbia should be intensified, having in mind that Serbia is in third place among BiH’s economic partners.
“Cooperation can always be better,” Radmanovic has concluded.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will visit Sarajevo tomorrow.
