BANJALUKA – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik congratulated the citizens of Great Britain on a democratically conducted referendum on leaving the EU, noting that the will of the people, expressed this way, is a fact which must be taken into account everywhere in the world.
“A referendum, as a culmination of democratic expression, must be available to citizens in all modern societies, which Great Britain is, without a doubt, which thus demonstrated its political maturity,” Dodik has said.
He noted that despite all its weaknesses, the EU remains a goal of Republika Srpska and BiH, but that this goal can be reached only while fully respecting constitutional jurisdictions of all government levels and without jeopardising the autonomy of Republika Srpska.
