BELGRADE – Air Serbia CEO Dane Kondic has announced that the national airline will start offering flights from Belgrade to New York – to be reintroduced after 24 years – from June 2016, five times a week.
Once we get the approval of the regulatory authorities, we will introduce direct flights to the United States, which the region has been waiting for since 1992. Under the plan, the flights to New York will be operated with an Airbus A330 aircraft, and during weekends we will be offering passengers from Belgrade to fly with Air Berlin, a close partner of Air Serbia, Kondic told the company’s magazine Elevate.
