SARAJEVO – Poling stations in Zivinice, Kalesija, Drvar, Bileca and Zvornik opened 15-20 minutes late due to technical reasons, the spokeswoman for the BiH Central Electoral Commission, Maksida Piric, told SRNA. Of the 5,401 polling stations, 5,247 were opened at 08:25, reports the Commission. The general elections are being held today in BiH where members of the BiH Presidency, members of the BiH Parliament, Republika Srpska president and vice-presidents, and members of the Republika Srpska Parliament and the FBiH Parliament, as well as members of the Canton Assemblies in the FBiH will be elected. Election silence will last till the polling stations close.
BANJALUKA – Security situation in Republika Srpska is good and not a single incident was recorded after the polling stations opened, the Ministry of Internal Affairs told SRNA.
SANSKI MOST – Two political parties’ observers clashed in Kijevo, Sanski Most Municipality, which is why police had to intervene, said the president of the Sanski Most Municipal Election Commission, Haris Karac.
SARAJEVO – BiH citizens should exercise their right to vote in a fair and transparent way, said Roberto Batelli, the Special Coordinator who leads an OSCE short-term observer mission for the BiH general elections.
