Andricville – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said that representatives of Serbia and Srpska gathered today, on Vidovdan /St. Vitus’ Day/, in Andricville to demonstrate Serbian unity, and added that the most important things are freedom and peace, which the Serbs in these parts want to maintain.
“Republika Srpska, with its ambitions to become strong, should not be an obstacle to anyone, as it has nothing against anyone. We also want to see a strong and powerful Serbia, not only economically, but also politically, as this belongs to Serbia as the largest country in the Balkans,” Dodik told reporters after the inauguration of Andricville.
Dodik said that Serbia undoubtedly can be a guarantor of good neighbourly relations and, when integrated in the EU, it will be able to fully and legitimately take care of its people, no matter where Serbs might live in the world.
“In any case, today is a great day for the Serbian people, and I want to share the joy of Vidovdan with all citizens of Srpska and Serbs all over the world, and to say that we are ready and capable of ensuring that Vidovdan is a day of remembrance of our great heroes, but also a vow for Serbian unity,” Dodik said.
He expressed satisfaction with the fact that the great job of building Andricville has been completed and that the 100th anniversary of the Sarajevo assassination and the outbreak of the Great War, in which Serbs made a huge sacrifice, was marked today.
“Republika Srpska and Serbia by joint efforts built this town, to which we gave the Andric Institute that will be its lasting legacy. Famous Serbian film maker Emir Kusturica, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and I jointly contributed to seeing the construction of this town of stone completed,” Dodik said.
